Automotive Mechanic

Skilled mechanical repair work involving trucks and light and medium-sized construction equipment. Work involves performing all but extremely large repair jobs on all automotive equipment, including but not limited to compaction units, dump trucks, backhoes, graders, and dozers.

Work is performed under the general direction of a supervisor who assigns priorities and provides assistance when necessary. The employee is expected to maintain all equipment in top operating condition and to maintain accurate preventive maintenance records.
