The City of St. Albans is accepting applications for the position of Humane Officer. This is a position that requires you to work with domesticated and non-domesticated animals. Position requires you to learn state and local laws dealing with all animals, lift, carry, remove, and relocate animals. Responsibilities include using a two-way radio, answering 911 calls, answering phones, setting devices to trap animals, handling animals, and record keeping.
Starting salary is $34,623.47 with an excellent benefit package including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and paid sick, vacation, and observed holidays. A six-month probationary period is required. Interested parties must complete a City of St. Albans application.
