Due to our trash collection transfer station being full and unable to deliver to the landfill, trash pickup has been canceled for the remainder of the day.
Trash pickup will resume tomorrow, Wed., January 8, running one day behind schedule:

Tuesday’s trash will be picked up on Wednesday (1/8)
Wednesday’s trash will be picked up on Thursday (1/9)
Thursday’s trash will be picked up on Friday (1/10)
Please note: There will be no extra pickups on Friday.

The St. Albans City Council meeting originally rescheduled for tonight at 6:30 PM has been postponed to Tuesday, January 21, at 6:30 PM.
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝
Additionally, a warming center will be open at Hansford Center on the evenings of January 8 and January 9 from 7 PM to 7 AM to assist those in need during this cold weather.

Our road crews continue diligently working to improve road conditions across town. While progress is being made, please allow extra time and exercise caution when driving.

Trash pickup is still running as scheduled, but we ask for your patience as road conditions are less than ideal in some areas.
Our Public Works Department continues to treat roads and streets, focusing on the main roads and hills throughout town. We appreciate your understanding and patience as our crews work diligently to improve conditions.
We also remind residents that Hansford Center will open as a warming station if temperatures fall below 10 degrees.
