Free
Join us for an enlightening evening on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, as Dementia Friendly St. Albans, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, hosts a free Dementia Educational Training. The session is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the historic Alban Arts Center, located on Main Street in the heart of St. Albans.
Keynote speakers include Chris Braley of Braley Care Homes and State Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, Teresa Morris. They will guide us through the 10 warning signs of dementia, providing invaluable insights and resources for those experiencing the condition personally or within their families.
This event is a must-attend not just for individuals affected by dementia and their caregivers but also for local business owners and community members. It’s a golden opportunity to join the movement of becoming a certified Dementia Friendly business, fostering an environment of empathy and understanding in our community.
Complimentary refreshments will be served, and doors will open 15 minutes before the event begins, providing plenty of time for attendees to interact and share experiences.
To secure your spot at this enlightening event, please contact the Hansford Senior Center at (304) 722-4621 and ask for Sommers Brightwell.
We’re honored to have WV Delegate Walter Hall, a key contributor in establishing St. Albans as a Dementia Friendly City, attending the event.
Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to St. Albans’ ongoing mission to prioritize the health and well-being of all its residents. Learn more about the event in our press release.
Let’s come together and make a difference – because understanding dementia begins with you.
