St. Albans, WV – The Cities of St. Albans and Nitro are once again teaming up to host their annual Labor Day Fireworks Show on Sunday, August 31, 2025. This exciting end-of-summer tradition brings both communities together for an evening of celebration and spectacle.
Fireworks will be launched from Roadside Park in St. Albans starting promptly at 9:30 PM. Spectators are invited to enjoy the show from various riverfront locations in both cities. For the best view, attendees are encouraged to gather on the Dick Henderson Memorial Bridge, which will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians only from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
To prepare for the event, the lower portion/boat launch parking area at Roadside Park will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians all day on August 31.
“We’re thrilled to bring our communities together again for another spectacular celebration,” said St. Albans Mayor Scott James. “This event has become a favorite tradition for families on both sides of the river.”
Nitro Mayor Dave Casebolt added, “We’re proud to continue this partnership with St. Albans and welcome everyone to come out and enjoy a safe, family-friendly evening.”
