The City of St. Albans is collecting essential supplies to support West Virginia communities affected by recent heavy rains and severe storms.
St. Albans was fortunate to avoid the worst of the severe weather on Tuesday. Other parts of West Virginia, especially communities in the northern part of the state, were heavily impacted.
“While we are grateful that St. Albans was spared from the worst of these storms, many of our fellow West Virginians are facing a difficult recovery,” Mayor Scott James said. “This is a time for us to come together, help our neighbors, and provide practical support to those who need it.”
Items Being Accepted
The City will accept:
- Rubber boots of all sizes
- Cleaning supplies
- Bottled water
- Nonperishable food
Please do not donate clothing.
Drop-Off Information
Donations will be accepted until 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026.
Items may be dropped off at:
St. Albans Fire Department Central Station
51 Sixth Ave.
St. Albans, WV 25177
Donations may be delivered during the day and early evening. If no fire personnel are outside behind the station when you arrive, call 304-382-6850 for assistance.
