The City of St. Albans will be observing Arbor Day on April 30th by planting a tree at Shelter #1 at St. Albans City Park. Mayor Scott James will do a proclamation at 10:00 am, and we will be planting our tree. This is a great opportunity to show our commitment to the environment and to our community.
Why Arbor Day is Important to the St. Albans Community
St. Albans is a community that values the environment and recognizes the importance of trees in our lives. Trees provide many important benefits to our city, including improving air quality, reducing noise pollution, providing habitat for wildlife, and enhancing property values. By planting a tree on Arbor Day, we are demonstrating our commitment to these critical environmental and community values. We hope that everyone in the St. Albans community will join us in celebrating Arbor Day on April 30th and show their support for a healthier, greener future.
