About the Show:
Step into the tantalizing world of the Kit Kat Klub in 1929 Berlin through the Alban Arts Center’s production of the iconic musical, “Cabaret.” As the city grapples with the turmoil of a post-World War I economic depression and the ominous rise of the Nazi Party, an American writer named Clifford Bradshaw arrives in search of inspiration. He soon finds himself entangled in a passionate, complex relationship with Sally Bowles, a vibrant cabaret performer. This dark, vibrant and provocative musical explores the hedonistic nightlife and the looming shadows of political change through captivating performances and a classic score.
