“It was a great day for St. Albans today! The ribbon cutting for the new Police Station was a huge success, great crowd and many elected officials on hand, some of which spoke. We had representatives from Senator Capito’s office, Senator Manchin’s office, Congresswoman Carol Miller’s office, Delegate Walter Hall, Senator Eric Nelson, Senator Mike Stuart, Delegate Andy Shamblin, Delegate Doug Skaff, Delegate Kayla Young, Kanawha County Commissioner Lance Wheeler, Kanawha County Sherrif Mike Rutherford, and Municipal Judge Jared Page spoke on the dedication of the courtroom to former City Councilman, Desper Lemon! Former Chief Joey Crawford and present Chief Marc Gilbert also spoke. I got to read a message from Governor Justice. Thanks to all in attendance, and thanks to our men and women in blue that serve and protect on a daily basis. A big thank-you to the St. Albans City Council and the St. Albans Building Commission! Also, thank you to St. Albans Chamber of Commerce.”
