UPDATED 10:41 AM: The shelter-in-place issued in St. Albans due to the chemical leak has now been lifted for the St. Albans (RT 60) side of the affected area.
THERE IS A SHELTER IN PLACE:
10:24 AM – A shelter-in-place has been issued within 1 mile of the Catalyst Refiners in Institute. From West Virginia State University to the Nitro / St. Albans Bridge, on the Route 25 and Route 60 side of the river.
St. Albans Residents in the affected areas between Rt. 60 / Kanawha Terrace intersection towards the Nitro / St. Albans Bridge are asked to shelter in place at this time.
