July and August have been very busy for the City of St. Albans with the Heritage Festival, Party in the Park, Live Music on Olde Main at the
Joe Dobbs Square, and much more! I attended the WV Municipal League Annual Conference and accepted the position of vice-president
for the 2023-24 fiscal year. Next year I will become president of the WVML, which I am very honored to be voted in by my peers.
Mountaineer Main Street is coming to Olde Main on August 26, and they are expecting 4000-6000 people. The WVU Cheerleaders, Dance
Team, Pep Band, and Mascot will be in attendance. Owen Schmidt, Major Harris, Avon Coburne, Mike Logan, and Gabe Osabuohien will be in attendance to sign autographs. It will be another big day in SA!
September will continue to be busy in SA, with many events taking place. You can find a schedule of them on our City Website, talbanswv.com.
