On February 22, 2022, the City of St. Albans proclaimed February 22 as Dementia Friendly Day and reaffirmed the City’s commitment to being a dementia-friendly community—one that understands the needs of residents living with dementia and works to support independence for as long as possible.
In recognition of that commitment, residents are encouraged to support Dementia Friendly St. Albans on February 21, 2026 by visiting participating local businesses. According to the event flyer, 22% of all profits will be donated to help further the important and impactful work of Dementia Friendly St. Albans.
