Even though we are not out of the cold weather season, Spring is upon us. As temperatures rise, outdoor events ramp up. Stay tuned to the City website, Facebook page, and Mayor Scott James’s Facebook page for events happening in SA! The Alban Theatre is also putting on a lot of productions.
I was in Washington, D.C., for three days with the WV Municipal League and met with the National Endowment of the Arts, The Department of Transportation, and our Senators Capito and Manchin. I found out that we received a $150,000 earmark for the Saint Albans Police Department—GREAT NEWS!
The Crawl-O-Green Pub Crawl went extremely well and was a great economic boost for SA! We need to keep SA moving forward. I was looking at numbers for B&O tax collections—and in six years, we have increased the amount collected by over $1,000,000! Great for SA!
