Mayor's State of the City Address

State of the City of St. Albans – December 2023

The fall and winter activities are in high gear. The combined City of St. Albans and Maranatha Trunk-or-Treat was a huge success, with approximately 2,000 children going through.

The Haunted Trail was a great success, with about 2,000 people going through on the 4 nights it was open. The Crawl-o-Ween Pub Crawl drew about 3,000 people to our community, and several of the businesses had record days.

Christmas in St. Albans kicks off on November 21 with a walk-thru for the Festival of Lights. On November 22, there will be hayrides through the lights from 6-8 pm, and the first official drive-through begins on November 24th. The hours will be 6-9 each night. The last night for the lights will be December 26th (will be closed December 24th and 25th in observance of Christmas).

On December 2nd, the annual Christmas Parade will begin at 3:00 and will run from Park Street to 3rd Street and up Olde Main to the Loop. Then, at 5:30, the Tree Lighting will be on Olde Main. Santa Claus will be at Chandler’s on Olde Main to see kids and families— and to take pictures. It’s always busy in St. Albans!

Let’s remember what we are thankful for as Thanksgiving approaches! There is always more to be thankful for than to complain about!

God Bless each and every one of you, and God Bless the Great City of St. Albans!
