As Fall is upon us, I would like to thank all the volunteers and city workers for a great summer in St. Albans! It was a very busy summer with activities going on weekly ranging from festivals to live music to Art in the Park! St. Albans has seen many visitors this year due to all the activities and our great businesses.
Mountaineer Main Street, sponsored by 100.9 radio, was a huge success, with an estimated 4,000- 6,000 people attending throughout the day. Thank you again to 100.9 and all the volunteers! We have a busy October coming up with the Fall Y’all Chili Cookoff happening on October 7th, and the Crawl-O-Ween Pub Crawl will be back again on October 28th. You can get a full list of events on our city web page:

The St. Albans Library had a 60 Year Anniversary Celebration on September 19. A big thank-you to SA Library for serving our community for 60 years. The only bad thing about that is I remember the library being built—I’m getting older for sure! The Labor Day Fireworks show that we partnered with Nitro on was a huge success. Thousands of people attended, and the fireworks lasted 20 minutes! I have heard nothing but positive comments on this venture. I would like to thank all the city employees from SA and Nitro for making this a great event!
I would also like to thank the St. Albans Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring Train Day on September 23! This event continues to get bigger and better each year. Business After Hours has been a huge success, too, and again I thank the Chamber for putting on these and all the businesses that host them. In closing, I just want to express my gratitude for being able to serve this great community, and I look
forward to continuing to do so! God bless each and every one of you, and God bless the great City of St. Albans!
