Time is Flying By - Its Fall Already
Time is flying by; it is already mid-October, the leaves are changing colors, and temperatures are dropping. October has been a very busy month in St. Albans with all the activities and events that have taken place.
History & Mystery Tours
The History & Mystery Tours have been taking place, put on by the St. Albans Historical Society. These tours bring some of St. Albans’ mysteries to light. On October 8th, several activities took place, and all were very successful. Morgan’s Kitchen Fall Festival was a great success with the making of Apple Butter, many vendors, live music, and more for the many that attended.
Fall Y'all Chili Cook-off
The Fall Y’all Chili Cookoff was awesome on Olde Main! There were 20-plus chili cookers that participated as well as many other vendors, live music, and more. It was estimated that between 3000 to 4000 people attended. Olde Main was packed! Then that evening was live music over at Roadside Park, which had a big crowd! October 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd was the Haunted Trail in City Park, and it was fantastic! Great job, Parks and Recreation!
Halloween Pub Crawl
On October 22nd, the first Halloween Pub Crawl took place, and it was very successful, drawing people from many towns and counties to St. Albans! The annual Trunk or Treat will take place on October 29th at the Maranatha Fellowship parking lot, and Trick or Treat will take place on October 31st from 6:00-8:00. There is always something to do in St. Albans!
New Dock & Boat Ramp at Roadside
Work on the new boat dock and parking lot expansion at Roadside Park is coming along and is going to be awesome when it is completed. Leaf pick-up in the city began on the 17th of October and will continue through early December. They schedule it by wards, and the schedule can be found on the city website and in this newsletter.
Majestic Day Spa Ribbon Cutting
We had another ribbon cutting in SA on Tuesday, October 11th, for the Majestic Day Spa! It is a beautiful facility and offers pedicures, manicures, hair styling, lash and brow procedures, and massages. Make sure you stop in and take advantage of their services.
St. Albans Continues to Move Forward
St. Albans continues to move forward in becoming a destination spot for living, shopping, and eating! A big thank-you to our city employees and volunteers that do an outstanding job in making St. Albans a great community!
